My Summer Vacation

The Experiment Ends
I can't believe it's August 1st. :( I never want to think of summer ending.
My evaluation of hoof quality at this point is that I believe I've seen an improvement. The horn looks darker than the older hoof, but otherwise there has been no change. Hoof growth (which is so variable anyway) has not increased or decreased.
The most impressive change has been his attitude towards life. He's much less apt to overreact, and seems more able to focus.
Unfortunately, ProAdGrass is not sold retail in New England as the company has shipping issues with getting the product here.
For that reason, and that reason alone I'm trying out a similar product which I'm able to obtain locally- Blue Seal Sunshine Plus pellets. Similar but not exact, but $30 a bag less, which is an incentive to give it a try, to say the least. If he reverts back to his ADD nature, I'll return him to the ProAdGrass.
I'm sorry Progressive, you make wonderful products and I would happily have my whole barn on your feeds, but it isn't rational for me to foot the bill for the shipping at this time.
